After a career in Technology management, including Aerospace and Finance, Charlie has engaged in literary efforts to change the World. Wake up America is his forth book, and engaged him because of the directionless path the world and the USA, in particular, is on. If the USA and the World continues the current path it has no other path than war and depression. Charlie has four sons of diverse ancestry.

UnionBanCal Corporation and its principal subsidiary, Union Bank of California, today announced that Charles L. Pedersen, Executive Vice President, Systems Technology and Item Processing Group (STIP), will retire at the end of 2004, capping a 30-year career with the bank. Pedersen, a member of the Union Bank of California’s (Mitsubishi, previously Bank of Tokyo). executive management committee since 1994, is responsible for the bank’s information technology and item processing operations that include central and distributed computing systems, systems development, data processing, telecommunications, security and contingency planning, information technology planning and engineering, and PC and LAN management. He oversees a staff of 1200 with round-the-clock operations located at Monterey Park, San Diego, San Francisco and Oakland, California, as well as Portland and Seattle operations centers.
